Thank you for your interest in the Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation’s Grant Funding Cycle! The Corporation was organized as a public benefit corporation to serve organizations that qualify as Section 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Service and benefit the people of the Michigan City Area School District.
Our 2019-2020 Grant Application will be available on line beginning September 24, 2018 at 9:00 am. The deadline to submit an application will be November 21st, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
Our web site contains valuable information describing the documentation that is required from your Organization to assist the Board in the evaluation process. Please review the Grant Application carefully. Your Grant Application should be “all-inclusive”, as presentations will not be permitted. However, the Board may request a presentation from you after a review of the Grant Applications. If your organization is applying for more than one grant, you will need to use a different email address and password for each grant application.
During the application process you may print your application at any time. This may be helpful for proof reading it before the application is submitted. After submitting your grant application, you will be able to read and print it. The grant application requires supporting files.These items include a Financial Statement for 2018. Since the application needs to be submitted by November 21st, 2018 it will need to be current thru the fall of 2018. The Year End Statement is for the year 2017. The IRS Determination Letter needs to be for the current year, 2018. We also need a list of the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors Approval for submitting the grant application and the Exemption in Force Statement.
The Michigan City Community Enrichment Corporation Board is presenting a Grant Application and Quarterly Report Forms Workshop for anyone from the public who wishes to attend. This free workshop is tailored to our online application. This workshop will be conducted at the EOC, lower level of the Michigan City City Hall on Tuesday, October 23rd from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Registration begins at 5:30 pm. The workshop will be limited to 40 participants. Anyone interested in attending should make a reservation by telephone at 219-873-1402 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, phone number and address along with your organization name with your reservation. The deadline for reservations is Sunday, October 21st at 5:00 pm.
